Time In Lieu

The Time In Lieu Tab allows you to keep track of compensation time, or Time In Lieu (paid time off given in lieu of overtime pay) an Employee accrues based on the number of hours they work during the time frame determined by your company.
Note: LightWork does not have a feature that will bucket the Time In Lieu outside of reporting. To view Employees who qaulify for Time in Lieu or compensation time you will need to run the 'Time In Lieu' Report from the Timesheet Reports screen.

Time In Lieu Tab

  1. Add Pay Code
    Select 'Add Pay Code' to apply the appropriate Pay Codes.

  2. Choose Pay Code
    In the pop-up box provided, click to highlight the Pay Code you would like to apply and select 'Okay'.

  3. Exclude From Owed
    If you do not want to include the hours assigned to a specific Pay Code in the calculations that determine Time in Lieu owed, enable the 'Exclude From Owed' checkbox for that Pay Code.

  4. Add Threshold
    To set up the thresholds that will qualify an Employee for Time in Lieu, select 'Add Threshold' and enter the Start and End dates for the period you would like the calculations to apply to. Then set the minimum and maximum thresholds for the Employee to qualify for Time in Lieu based on the minimum hours they work (Min), and at what point they cap out (Max) on receiving Time in Lieu or compensation time.
    Note: You can choose any type of date range for the threshold, a week, a month, a year, or any start and end date that would apply to your company policy.

  5. Save
    Once you are satisfied with your selections, click on the 'Save' icon.
